室內設計七大新趨勢
設計是連接精神文明與物質文明的橋梁，人類寄希望于通過設計來改造世界，改善環境，提高人類自下而上的生活質量。從構成世界之三大要素的自然——人——社會這三個座標體系出發，現代設計已從産品設計拓展到環境藝術設計，由“生存意識”進展到“環境意識”，正如加拿大建築師阿瑟·埃利克森所說的：“環境意識就是一種現代意識”。美國建築師們認為：八十年代的重要發展並不是這個主義或者那個運動，而是對環境設計和景觀設計的普遍認同。
環境藝術設計，包括了城規建築設計、園林廣場設計、雕塑與壁畫等環境藝術品設計以及室內設計。室內設計是為滿足人們生活、工作的物質要求和精神要求所進行的理想的內部環境設計，與人的生活密切相關，以致于迅速發展成為一門專業性很強、十分實用的新興邊緣科學。對室內設計的發展新趨勢進行分析後，可以歸納為七個新趨勢。
1、回歸自然化
隨著環境保護意識的增長，人們向往自然，喝天然飲料，用自然材料，渴望住在天然綠色環境中。北歐的新堪的納維亞設計的流派由此興起，對世界各國影響很大，在住宅中創造田園的舒適氣氛，強調自然色彩和天然材料的應用，采用許多民間藝術手法和風格。在此基礎上設計師們不斷在“回歸自然”上下功夫，創造新的肌理效果，運用具象的抽象的設計手法來使人們聯想自然。
2、整體藝術化
隨著社會物質財富的豐富，人們要求從“物的堆積”中解放出來，要求室內各種物件之間存在統一整體之美。室內環境設計是整體藝術，它應是空間、形體、色彩以及虛實關系的把握，功能組合關系的把握，意境創造的把握以及與周圍環境的關系協調。許多成功的室內設計實例都是藝術上強調整體統一的作品。
3、高度現代化
隨著科學技術的發展，在室內設計中采用一切現代科技手段，設計中達到最佳聲、光、色、形的匹配效果，實現高速度、高效率、高功能，創造出理想的值得人們贊歎的空間環境來。
4、高度民族化
只強調高度現代化，人們雖然提高了生活質量，卻感到失去了傳統、失去了過去。因此，室內設計的發展趨勢就是既講現代，又講傳統。在日本考察時，看到許多新的環境設計反映了日本設計人員致力于高度現代化與高度民族化結合的設計體現。去年落成的東京雅敘園飯店及辦公大樓的室內設計，傳統風格濃重而又新穎，設備、材質、工藝高度現代化，室內空間處理及裝飾細部處處引人入勝，給人留下深刻印象並深受啓發。日本各地的大、小餐廳、菜室及商店室內設計，均注意風格特色的體現。特別是日式餐廳及建築、室內裝飾食器均進行了配套設計，人們即使在很小的餐館用餐，也同樣感受到設計者的精心安排。
5、個性化
大工業化生産給社會留下了千篇一律的同一化的問題——相同樓房，相同房間，相同的室內設備。為了打破同一化，人們追求個性化。一種設計手法是把自然引進到室內，室內外通透或連成一片。另一種設計手法是打破水泥方盒子，斜面、斜線或曲線裝飾，以此來打破水平垂直線求得變化。還可以利用色彩、圖畫、圖案，利用玻璃鏡面的反射來擴展空間等等，打破千人一面的冷漠感，通過精心設計，給每個家庭居室以個性化特征。
6、服務方便化
城市人口集中，為高效方便，國外十分重視發展現代服務設施。在日本采用高科技成果發展城鄉自動服務設施，自動售貨設備越來越多，交通系統中電腦問詢解答，向導系統的使用。自動售票檢票、自動開啓、關閉進出站口通道等設施，給人們帶來高效率和方便，從而使室內設計更強調以“人”為本這個主體，讓消費者滿意，方便為目的。
7、高技術高情感化
最近，國際上工藝先進國家的室內設計正在向高技術、高情感方向發展，這兩者相結合，既重視科技，又強調人情味。在藝術風格上追求頻繁變化，新手法，新理論層出不窮，呈現五彩缤紛，不斷探索創新的局面。
